Description

Our client is a top solutions provider for consulting and technology services in the automotive industry located in London, ON.

They are currently seeking a Senior Database Administrator. Relocation to London or ability to commute every day is required.

  •      A degree or diploma in Computer Science
  •      5 + years’ experience in SQL Server 2000, 2008 Administration, data dictionary creation, data modeling and updating, database startup and shutdown, setup, backup and recovery, SQL scripting (PL-SQL, Triggers, and Stored Procedures), performance tuning, replication, data warehousing and log shipping
  •      Technical requirement may vary depending on specific operating systems and applications. The following is a general sample of typical technical knowledge required.
  •      SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 Administration
  •      MySQL
  •      MSDE 2000
  •      Data modeling tools such as ERWin
  •      Microsoft Windows Cluster and SQL Server Cluster setup
  •      Knowledge of Windows 2000, 2003, 2008
  •      Linux
  •      Oracle 9i, 10g (nice to have)
  •      Sun Solaris (nice to have)
  •      Configuration management tools
  •      Net Backup and Backup exec (nice to have)
  •      Security and Monitoring applications (databases only)
